Banana Peels Remove Contaminants From Water - Long Live Organic Waste
A PhD student in Brazil has found a novel way to purify water by using pieces of banana peels. Apparently, the banana peels have highly negative molecules that attract the heavy and positively charged metal pollutants in water. What a great use of organic waste!
